Through its mission to tell the history of Computer Science with its unique Collection, the Bolo Museum is getting a new name. It will become the Musée du numérique (Museum of Digital Culture), built soon and located near Lausanne.
The Bolo Museum’s life has been run for years by a team of volunteers. The Museum of Digital Culture will be a museum operated by paid professionals and ticketing to ensure a revenue.
The first milestone of its future activity has been established with the exhibition “Disparition Programmée” (Programmed Disappearance). Still visible today, it tells in a playful way the disappearance of the computer. Other exhibitions are being prepared on various topics: computer science and science fiction, supercomputers and digital brain, interfaces and artefacts of the five senses.
Be our partners by supporting us today for the preservation of our Collection. The construction of the Museum of Digital Culture will be the subject of an active search for sponsors all over the world.
